iThings are kind of spiraling out of control for me n which is a good thing,i he said today, shortly after returning from a several-day promotional trip to NYC. During the trip, Sullivan and his publicist met with writers from a number of national media outlets including Billboard Magazine, The Chicago Tribune, and Spin.
Sullivan, one of the areais most popular and enduring performers, was the front man for some of Buffalois most celebrated and notorious bands, including The Celibates, The Restless, Terry and The Headhunters, Dollywatchers, and, most notably, The Jumpers. He said he is both surprised and excited by the early promise his latest recording is showing. Plans are in the works for showcase performances in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
Saturdayis performance will include several cuts from the new album, which was produced by Goo Goo Doll and music festival maven Robbie Takac. Sullivan, with backing band members Donny Farmer, Chet Folger, Dave Hill, and Howard Wilson, also plans to perform an assortment of his originals and a number of select covers.
iItis just kind of a mixture of things the band personally admires,i he said.
Standing room only is likely in the intimate confines at Nektar, so we suggest you get there early.
