One of the Medical Corridoris earliest projects is undergoing a renovation. The Roosevelt Apartments at Main and Carlton is undergoing $1 million in faAade, elevator and mechanical upgrades. Work crews are currently making repairs to the circa-1914 buildingis white terra cotta faAade.
The seven-story Renaissance Revival style building was converted into 113 one-bedroom senior apartments in 1984 by the M.J. Peterson Co. Originally constructed as the Roosevelt Arms Hotel, it primarily catered to traveling actors and actresses touring the Buffalo area. Today, the building is a solid anchor to the Allentown and Medical Corridor neighborhoods.
