Our nearly – but – not – yet – named – mascot is shown here, racing to volunteer his butt off for BOHW!
Calling all Buffalo lovers! If youive been looking for a way to help promote the Queen City and get involved, now is your chance. Buffalo Old Home Week is looking for volunteers who love Buffalo and love to tell others about all of the advantages of living, working and playing in the city at events on August 24th- 27th. Locals, repatriates and new residents are all welcome to participate.
Our celebration of Buffalo has been really gaining momentum as we head into the final stretch, from media exposure in the local blogosphere, the News and TV to support from area businesses and institutions… the critical component we now need is: YOU!
yes, I mean YOU!
A volunteer meeting will be held on August 15th at 6:30pm at the United Way on the corner of Delaware and Summer in room 201. Attendees can sign up to help with one of the signature events including the Career Fair, the Downtown Housing Tour, the Sunday Brunch in Delaware Park, as well as pre-event preparation. Duties will include event registration and collection of payment for tickets, directing people to and around events, assembling registration packets, and answering questions from attendees.
Volunteers will be provided with everything they need to know about Buffalo Old Home Week and its events at the volunteer meeting. For further information on volunteering or the meeting, please contact Amy Maxwell: amy@revitalizebuffalo.org
