Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor is returning to Buffalois waterfront for year eight. The event will take place Saturday, July 29th and Sunday, July 30, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. each day at the entrance to the Erie Basin Marina. This free-to-the-public music festival will feature some of the regionis hottest groups topped off with a famous national acts.
One of the titans of the blues genre and 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Buddy Guy will be performing on Saturday, July 29th. He began his career in 1957 and has five Grammy Awards to his credit. Always moving his music forward, even at the risk of alienating lovers of the traditional blues sounds, Guy has cemented his place as a blues legend in the company of the musical heroes that came before him. Kicking off the evening of performances will be Kelley Hunt and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals.
Fans will be going off the deep end for day two of Rocks the Harbor. Creating a buzz wherever they go, Govit Mule will be making waves on Buffalois beautiful Inner Harbor. Beginning as a side project for the Allman Brothers Band, this group has turned into four-time Jammy Award winners. Working hard and playing harder, they are ready to rock the Harbor all night long!
