Yesterday could not be beat when it came to having perfect weather for an art festival. Well, that might not be true… today looks like it will actually be the perfect day. At least that’s what local photographer, Joe Cascio, told us yesterday as he was closing up his booth. He felt that Saturday’s sales were some of the best that he had ever seen. The crowd was able to linger a bit longer this year due to the comfortable temperatures throughout the day. “Tomorrow should be even better”, he said. “It’s supposed to be five degrees warmer which should sit well with browsers and purchasers.”
The Allentown Art Festival draws upwards of 300,000 attendees from year to year. That’s no small number. There are many festival-goers that like to be the first to walk down amongst the booths, before the masses arrive. Others enjoy ‘schooling’ down the streets in the heat of the action. Either way, today should be an incredible day in Allentown, so grab your backpack and the kids (not the dog), and head down to a festival that will soon celebrate its 50th year in Buffalo.
