Michael Meldrum is always up to something. Take his Bob Dylan Imitators Contest. For the last eighteen years Michael has been bringing together ‘Dylan inclined’ musicians who compete by playing tunes dedicated to the master himself. It’s quite the scene as guitarists hash it out to win the well-respected Song Project honor. There is a 7pm sign-up for artists the night of the show. Eight celebrity judges will listen and rate musicians throughout the course of the evening while looking for the guy or girl with the most ‘Dylan-esque’ qualities.
It all takes place April 6th @ Nietzsch’e at 248 Allen Street. There is a $5 admission for both contestants and admission.
