This winter Queenseyes posted about Buffalo’s Tifft Nature Preserve. Here is a spring peek of this city treasure. “Officially” the preserve is closed to the public due to Erie County budget cuts. However, it is open on a limited basis for special tours, pre-arranged school groups, and for Wellness Walks on Thursdays from 10-1. ” Unofficially” if the gates are open for an event, then it is OK for the public to enjoy the trails, as we did on 3/28. Call the Tifft Nature Preserve directly for more information.
As a side note, if anyone has any (grassroots) ideas for helping to restore regular public accessibility to this urban wildlife sanctuary, please share them with Buffalo Rising Online. Thanks!
