On Monday, February 6th, New Play Workshop presents a reading of The War Room by Darryl Schneider. Curtain is at 8:00 p.m. at The Phoenix Theater; 95 Johnson Park (one block west of Elmwood). This event is free of charge.
The Schiller family of Akron, New York, has suffered the loss of a son during a military skirmish in Iraq. However, a father’s obsession with this death prevents the rest of the family from finding closure and moving on after the tragedy. The war at home comes into focus in this moving drama.
Sponsored by Road Less Traveled Productions. After each reading, there will be an open discussion about the script-in-progress, providing important feedback from a theater-savvy audiences as each playwright continues to work on each respective project.

Darryl Schneider, a veteran of the New Play Workshop, is the author of the Artie nominated Two To The Head (2005) which was produced by Road Less Traveled Productions.
