Meanwhile, Erie County Republicans will talk today with Buffalo Board of Education member Christopher L. Jacobs about his interest in the race. Erie County GOP Chairman Robert E. Davis said late Monday that Jacobs broached the subject over the weekend, adding that the presence of Democrat Kevin P. Gaughan on the Working Families line could diffuse the special election vote and strengthen a Republican in the overwhelmingly Democratic district.
Jacobs isnit the only Board of Education member interested in the seat. Ralph Hernandez has thrown his hat into the ring as well.
