Glengarry Glen Ross was first produced on Broadway in 1984 under the direction of Gregory Mosher following London and Chicago runs. The drama earned playwright Mamet the Pulitzer Prize and Best Play Tony Award nomination that year and was later adapted by the scribe for the 1992 film.
Directed by Lorna C. Hill – (February 17 – March 26, 2006) – WINNER! 2005 TONY AWARD BEST PLAY REVIVAL
Glengarry Glen Ross follows the cutthroat world of real estate where salesmen are vying for the best leads to make the biggest sales. The show reveals with brutal power the life of bitter men who wheel and deal for a piece of the action – where closing a sale can mean a brand new Cadillac and losing a sale can mean losing it all. Glengarry Glen Ross is a chilling indictment of a world in which you are what you sell.
David Mamet is a contemporary playwright who uses forceful, realistic language in an attempt to display a corrupt world ready for radical change.
