We heard a buzz, a short while back, about Walgreens’s financial affections for the corner of Delaware and Delevan and crossed our fingers that it was a just a rumor. So much for a rumor. Ever since the story broke at The News, BRO has been getting bombarded with emails inquiring as to how to help fight the ‘big box’. An on-line petition was just launched that will ultimately be submitted to both officials of Walgreens and the City of Buffalo. We have already suffered three strikes at that intersection, and the idea of a final blow is utterly unacceptable.
The Stop Walgreens on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo, NY: Petition to Officials of Walgreens and the City of Buffalo was created by the Preservation Coalition of Erie County and written by Cynthia Van Ness.
