carmelo parlato is determined to create a synergy amongst local artists while exploiting buffalo’s culture this thursday november 10th at la luna on west chippewa. “a full moon” is a 3 piece show starting at 8pm that intermingles art, poetry & music.
part one, beginning at 8:00 p.m., will be an art show portraying the works of professor francisco amaya, accompanied by d.j. friendly stranger spinning eclectic funk. part two, starting at 9:00 p.m., will consist of a poetry show including gabrielle bouliane, eric johnt, brian van remmen & mc vendetta. part 3, initiating at 10:00 p.m., will be the vibrant and vivacious music of latin jazz project. the cost of the event is a mere $7!
parlato wants to bring together an eclectic audience that appreciates and supports the arts here in buffalo. when i met with carmelo he communicated to me that the response has been a bit overwhelming for him thus far and that he is really excited at the future possibilities of this type of special artsy-edgy combination of talents. he already has the next few shows played out in his mind.
